Anti-Ragging Council

 

Maharashtriya Mandal’s College of Commerce is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment. The college strictly prohibits any form of ragging and has a dedicated Anti- Ragging Council to prevent and address such incidents. The council works proactively to promote a culture of mutual respect and discipline on campus.​

 

Aims and Objectives

  1. To Prevent Ragging – Ensure a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form.

  2. To Educate Students – Raise awareness about the consequences of ragging through orientation programs, workshops, and campaigns.

  3. To Provide a Safe Environment – Foster a secure and friendly atmosphere for all students, especially newcomers.

  4. To Address Complaints Promptly – Investigate and take strict action against any reported cases of ragging.

  5. To Encourage Reporting – Ensure students feel safe and supported in reporting incidents without fear.

  6. To Promote Discipline & Respect – Encourage values of empathy, inclusion, and mutual respect
    among students.

Committee Members & Designations
The Anti-Ragging Council comprises:

 

  1. Chairperson (Principal) – Leads the committee and ensures strict implementation of anti-ragging policies.

  2. Coordinator (Appointed Faculty Member) – Acts as the primary point of contact for reporting and resolving issues.

  3. Senior Faculty Representatives – Guide students and handle complaints fairly.

  4. Student Representatives (Senior Students) – Help spread awareness and support victims of ragging.

  5. Administrative Representative – Assists with documentation and policy enforcement.

  6. Legal Advisor (if applicable) – Provides legal guidance on serious cases.

  7. External Member (NGO/Social Worker) – Ensures impartiality and provides additional support.

Reporting & Action Process

  1. Reporting – Students can report incidents via an online portal, complaint box, or directly to committee members.1.

  2. Investigation – The council reviews complaints, gathers evidence, and speaks to involved parties.

  3. Action & Resolution – Strict measures, including disciplinary action, are taken against offenders as per college and legal guidelines.

  4. Follow-up – The council ensures continued support to victims and prevents recurrence.
